HISTORY OF HOTEL, RESTAURANT AND CATERING SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services department was established in 1998 as an affiliate of Kars Kafkas University and started to admit students within the scope of the Tourism and Hotel Management program in the 1998-1999 academic year. In 2008, it was connected to the newly established Iğdır University. Later, this program was closed as a result of insufficient number of students. A Cookery Program was added to the department in 2017, and it started to admit students in the 2018-2019 academic year. 50 students can enroll in this program each year. Within the scope of the department, 2 Assistant Professors and 3 Lecturers, a total of 5 academicians, serve.
